Our commitment

Accessibility is part of good design. It is not an optional extra.

HomeToThere is being designed and developed with the aim of making its information, controls, and journey-planning process usable by as many people as reasonably possible.

We are working towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, at level AA.

What you should be able to do

We aim to make it possible for you to:

navigate the website using a keyboard as well as a mouse or touchscreen;
move through forms and controls in a clear and logical order;
understand headings, labels, instructions, buttons, and error messages;
zoom or enlarge the page without losing important content or functionality;
use the website on desktop computers, tablets, and mobile phones;
use common screen readers and other assistive technologies;
see a visible focus indicator when navigating with a keyboard; and
understand important information without relying on colour alone.

How we support accessibility

HomeToThere uses clear language, structured headings, labelled form controls, and layouts designed to remain understandable across different screen sizes.

We also aim to:

use readable text sizes and spacing;
provide sufficient colour contrast;
keep touch targets large enough to select comfortably;
avoid unnecessary movement, flashing, or visual clutter;
use meaningful link and button wording;
associate instructions and errors with the relevant field;
write content in clear, plain English; and
test important journeys on both desktop and mobile devices.

Current accessibility status

HomeToThere is still being developed and refined.

The website has not yet undergone a complete independent accessibility audit. We therefore do not currently claim full conformance with WCAG 2.2 level AA.

We are reviewing the website progressively and will update this statement as testing is completed and any known issues are identified or resolved.

Known limitations

We are not presently aware of any issue that prevents use of the main journey-planning service, but testing is continuing.

Some combinations of older browsers, operating systems, or assistive technologies may behave differently from newer ones.

If a feature does not work for you, please tell us. A clear description of the page, device, browser, and problem will help us investigate it.

Adjusting your device or browser

Your browser or device may allow you to:

increase the text size;
zoom into a page;
change colours or contrast;
use a screen reader;
navigate using a keyboard or voice control; and
reduce motion or animation.

The exact options depend on the browser, device, and operating system you use.

Feedback and help

We welcome accessibility feedback, including reports of anything that is difficult to read, understand, select, or operate.

Please tell us:

which page or feature caused the problem;
what you were trying to do;
what happened;
which device and browser you were using, if known; and
which assistive technology you were using, where relevant.

We will consider every report carefully and aim to respond in a helpful and practical way.

We will review this Accessibility Statement as the website develops, when significant features change, or when accessibility testing identifies new information.
